DORA VILLARREAL SOLANO, 87
Dora V. Solano, age 87, passed away on January 27, 2017 peacefully at home in San Antonio, Texas. Dora was born on August 30, 1929 to Vicente and Martha Villarreal in Nuevo Laredo, TAMPS, Mexico. She was the 4th of 12 children. She will be remembered for her strong faith and trust in God, dedication to sharing God's Word with everyone she encountered, praying for her children daily, and her devotion to her family and friends. Dora was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She will be greatly missed and remembered for the words "Orden Divino."

Dora married Jose D. Solano in 1946 in Nuevo Laredo, TAMPS, Mexico and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where they raised 9 children. Together they started Solano's Grocery and Market, which they operated for 25 years. Dora managed her home, the grocery store, and was a successful director for several sales organizations for many years. She was a member of the President's Circle for Avon Products. Jose and Dora were members of Holy Family Church, where they both served their community for over 25 years. In their later years together, they joined Iglesia Adventista.

Dora is preceded in death by her loving husband Jose D. Solano (1994), her eldest son Joe Solano Jr. (1999), and his wife Martha (1994).

Dora is survived by her loving children: Sandra (Edward) Cantu, Sergio (Sylvia) Solano, Steve (Rosario) Solano, Ruben (Nelda) Solano, Robert (Diana) Solano, Dora Alicia (Jose) Rodriguez, Mary Ann (Stephan) Samuelson, and Richard (Gracie) Solano. Dora had 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grand children, along with numerous special nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
A special thank you to all the Doctors, Nurses, Physical Therapist and Caregivers of Methodist Hospital, Life Care Hospital, Home Nursing and Therapy Services (HNTS), and Senior Blessings who cared for our Mom over the last few months above and beyond your calling.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 5:30 p.m. and a Memorial Service at 7 pm. On Saturday, February 4, 2017, there will be Funeral Service at Seaside at 1:30 pm, followed by Interment at Seaside Memorial Park.
