Camilla Marie McCloskey Hoelscher, age 78, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016.
Cam was born April 24, 1938, in Denver, Colorado to Joseph and Helen McCloskey. After graduating from Arvada High School in 1956, she moved to Texas to live with her cousin, Leo McCloskey and his family, first in Fort Worth, then Corpus Christi where she met George W. Hoelscher, Jr.
They were married at St. Patrick Catholic Church on June 11, 1960, and began a lifelong journey together.
While raising their five children, Cam served for ten years as Librarian of St. Pius X Catholic School and also served the school and parish as a room mother, a School Board member, organizing fundraisers, and many other activities.
Her unwavering faith, devotion to her family, and strong commitment to serving others were always at the center of her life. Those who were blessed to know her will also remember Cam for her tremendous cooking skills, her love of conversation, laughter, music, reading, politics, and sports. Cam was always eager to brag about her children, her grandchildren, and more recently, her great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Pat, Agnes, Mary, Karen, and Joe.
Cam is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, George; their children Mike, Kevin (Kathryn), Darrin (Brenda), Erin (John) Stallings, and Greg (Leanne); her grandchildren Kevin (Colleen) Hoelscher, Bethany (Dustin) McCubbin, Sarah and Kristen Hoelscher, Matthew and Thomas Stallings, and Gavin Hoelscher; her great-grandsons Patrick Hoelscher and Benjamin McCubbin; her brother Dan (Lori) McCloskey; and many extended family members and friends. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Violet, Texas.
